Dating back to a small boutique in Paris in 1700, Herbin Fountain Pen Ink is one of the best in the world, both in smoothness of writing and breadth and brilliance of colour palette. Named for the flower of the carob tree, a native Mediterranean plant, Rouge Caroubier is an intense red-purple colour, tending further to the latter as the breadth of your line increases. All Herbin inks are pH neutral and non-toxic. They are water-based and therefore will run if wetted. The inks are light fast and only natural dyes are used.
